OUR TOP CLEANING TIPS

Summer is the time for grilling! If it weren't for the aftermath... cleaning! With these tricks your grill will shine like new!

Prevent stubborn dirt on the grill and grate - this way you will invest less time in cleaning

To keep the grill clean, it should be cared for before use and cleaned immediately after. As soon as the grill has cooled enough to be touched, it should be cleaned immediately to prevent stubborn and burnt dirt from settling.

Before grilling, rub some cooking oil on the grate. The layer of fat has the task of depositing a smaller amount of residue. In addition, meat and vegetables stick less to the grate and make cleaning easier afterwards. Between one grilling session and the next, the grill should be stored in a dry place, covered with a cloth that will protect it from dust and pollen. At the end of the season, a thorough cleaning is recommended; this also includes the care of sensitive parts such as wheels, hinges and wooden handles, using our products: furniture care or impregnating oil.

Cleaning the grill – this is how it works!

The grill must always be cleaned in two stages. The first step takes place immediately after use, when the grill is still slightly hot, so that grease and food residues have no chance of sticking. A few hours later, further cleaning can be carried out in a second phase. However, it is necessary to be able to distinguish between two types of barbecue:

Charcoal barbecue

Immediately after grilling, brush off coarse and food residues from the grill while the grill is still warm (but not hot!).

Then clean thoroughly with a steel sponge, water and Extreme Thermosol or special oven. To avoid scratching enameled surfaces such as those of the kettle grill, it is best to use only a soft cloth or sponge, water and Extreme Thermosol or Special oven.

Gas barbecue

Before removing coarse residues with a wire brush, the gas barbecue should be heated to maximum temperature for approx. 10 minutes with the lid closed immediately after use.
