Tiles and grout

How to clean tiles and grout properly?

How do you clean tiles and remove stubborn stains from tiled surfaces without leaving residue?

Ceramic or porcelain tiles on the walls or floors of your kitchen or bathroom are durable and usually easy to clean up when a liquid spills, splashes, or dust accumulates. But what happens if the tiles become very dirty or lose their shine over the years?

How to Clean Bathroom Tiles Properly

Everyday activities such as brushing teeth, bathing or showering cause limescale and dirt on our tiles. Our universal cleaner helps to perfectly combat normal and everyday dirt. Add a few sprays to warm water and clean the tiles with a lint-free cloth. Then dry with a microfiber cloth – for a shiny effect!

To remove limescale stains from tiles, you need to use an appropriate limescale-dissolving detergent, such as our Sanizid. Add the recommended amount to a bucket of warm water and after cleaning, polish with a clean cloth.

Cleaning kitchen tiles: here's how to do it

Grease splatters and sauce stains easily end up on the wall behind the stove during cooking. You can remove everything best with the universal cleaner diluted in warm water. Particularly stubborn dirt, already dried for a long time, has no escape against our degreaser Thermosol extreme. Spray it diluted on the stains, leave it to act for a few moments and remove with a cloth.

Cleaning Floor Tiles – This is How You Can Get Your Floor Sparkling Again

First remove dust, hair and coarse dirt from the tiles using a broom or vacuum cleaner.

Warning: To ensure that the vacuum cleaner does not leave scratches on the floor, it is essential to choose a brush accessory for hard floors. Add the following universal cleaner in a bucket of hot water and clean the floor with a typical commercial mop or microfiber cloth.

Window squeegees are not suitable for cleaning tiles

Although window squeegees are becoming increasingly popular, they are not recommended for cleaning tile.

Leaks prevent complete water removal and often droplets remain.

What is the best way to clean grout?

When it comes to cleaning tiles and joints properly, opinions differ. Whether toothpaste, nail polish or baking powder - we cannot recommend any of these household tips with good conscience. As a layman, you should only use professional joint cleaners. The reason: If unsuitable cleaning agents are used repeatedly, the joints can become brittle and therefore susceptible to water penetration. This promotes the formation of mold, makes the joints unsightly and gets dirty more quickly. The joints will look like new again with the use of our universal cleaner Labofix.
